This blog has become nothing more than a clothesline for poems in various drafts. It's been a long time now since a bespoke post was published on the Patteran Pages. And it's been even longer since I was posting every day. The firm resolution made on this blog's 9th anniversary in February to carry on notwithstanding,  I'm afraid I've lost both initiative and will.

Correspondingly, my visits to friends' blogs have dwindled and I have little sense now of the thriving community that used to link so many of us. As I noted previously, other social media have largely replaced the blog as a forum for swift interaction. I don't use Twitter, but I do maintain contact with a large number of people via Facebook.

All regrettable, but evidence of evolution, I guess. I'll continue to post poems as and when they appear and if inspiration strikes again I'll put together a bespoke post as of old.
