A patteran is an arrangement of stones and sticks in the form of a coded message left by Gypsies at the roadside for those following on. This blog is my digital equivalent.
I'm a retired Drama teacher, now a full-time child carer. I have a grown-up son and daughter and three young children from my second marriage. I write, principally poetry but prose too, both fitfully published. I'm in the process of preparing a first selection of poetry for submission to publishers.
A small-scale (very) musical career playing bass guitar, bouzouki and percussion in a ceilidh/world music band (in which my partner plays fiddle) is slowly reviving itself after three years suspension, hostage to the demands of three cuckoo kids.
I'm also a radio ham. My callsign is G0 EUV. This hobby is in suspension while I try to work out how to erect a decent antenna through a bunch of trees.
